I have a story to tell…and I am going to be able to share it soon. We began recording in January and are expecting to wrap up this week. Recording this album has been a dream come true – everyone on my wish list to work with said “yes“ – and then they came in and nailed it. They brought the music and words that had been living in my head for the last 2-3 years to vivid life, with their own creativity, artistry and soul. Recording songs from my new Appalachian Folk musical, “The Knoxville Project” was funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. This recording project is also funded in part by a generous award from the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of The Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. These funds helped me to be able to bring in all of these extra artists, and their work is so important to our state. Big thanks to them.
